Soldiers Rescue Five Kidnapped Victims in Kogi State

On Wednesday, during a counter-terrorism operation in Kogi State, troops from the Nigerian Army's 12 Brigade successfully rescued five kidnapped victims. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks and involved intensified ground and air offensives targeting terrorist hideouts in the area.

According to a statement from the Army's Assistant Director of Public Relations, Lieutenant Hassan Abdullahi, the operation followed recent air interdiction missions against known terrorist locations. Troops deployed from the Oshokoshoko forward operating base intercepted the victims, who had been abandoned by the fleeing terrorists due to mounting military pressure.

The rescued individuals were immediately evacuated to a safe location for medical attention and further assessment. Brigadier General Kasim Sidi commended the troops for their vigilance and professionalism, urging public support for ongoing military operations to defeat criminal elements in the state.
