Soludo Recognizes Six Traditional Rulers in Anambra

On Friday, Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State presented certificates of recognition to six newly elected traditional rulers during a ceremony held at the Lighthouse in Awka. He reaffirmed the importance of traditional institutions in promoting peace, unity, and community development.

Soludo urged the monarchs to prioritize good governance and the welfare of their people, fostering harmony within their communities. He acknowledged that the exercise reflects the state government's commitment to strengthening traditional leadership structures and partnering with grassroots development initiatives.

The newly recognized rulers, who followed due process in their elections, received government approval under a public-private community partnership model aimed at delivering development across communities. The event also featured remarks from the chairman of the Anambra State Traditional Ruler Council, Igw Chidubem Iweka, who expressed confidence in the new monarchs' abilities to reduce disputes and promote stability in their domains.
