Soludo Submits 18 Commissioner Nominees to Assembly

On Tuesday, Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State submitted a list of 18 commissioner nominees to the Anambra State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation. The Speaker of the Assembly, Somtochukwu Udez, received the list during a plenary session and subsequently referred it to the committee for further legislative action.

The nominees proposed for various portfolios include Ben Odoemena for Agriculture, Chukwukadibia Okoy for Budget and Economic Planning, Udoji Amedu for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Eken Ogugua for Education, Clem Aguiyi for Environment, Izuchukwu Okafor for Finance, Afam Obidik for Health, Law Mefor for Information and Value Reform, Tobechukwu Nweke for Justice and Attorney General, Offornz Amucheazi for Land, Vin Ezeaka for Local Government and Community Affairs, Prof. Charl Ofoegbu for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Chijiok Oseloka Ojukwu for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Casmir Agummadu for Power, Okei Ezeobi for Works and Infrastructure, Eddi Ibuzo for Transport, Esther Onyekesi for Women Affairs and Social Development, and Patrick Agha for Youth Development and Sports.

Notably, some nominees, such as Afam Obidik and Patrick Agha, are returning to their previous portfolios.
