Dr. Nony Soludo Celebrates 100 Women in Skills Training

Dr. Nony Soludo, the wife of the Anambra State Governor, expressed her satisfaction with the performance of 100 young women who participated in the first batch of the Anambra Skill Ladi Train Programme.

Launched in March, this vocational initiative aims to equip women across the state with skills in traditionally male-dominated professions. The program, which focuses on fostering self-reliance and entrepreneurship, includes a five-week intensive practical class designed to empower participants with high-demand technical skills.

Dr. Soludo noted that the training covers four key areas: solar installation, CCTV installation and repair, air conditioning repair and maintenance, and tricycle (keke) repair and painting.

She described the initiative as a game changer for women's empowerment and emphasized the importance of bridging the employment gap and enhancing civic participation among women. The program aims to transform the lives of participants, providing them with the skills necessary to excel in their chosen professions.
