Soludo’s Wife Advocates Justice for Abused 10-Year-Old

Mrs. Nony Soludo, the wife of Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo, has pledged to seek justice for a 10-year-old boy who was allegedly subjected to severe abuse by his guardians in Awada Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area.

The boy's condition, which drew public outrage, was highlighted in a video showing extensive injuries on his body. He is currently receiving medical treatment.

In a statement issued on Monday, Governor Soludo described the alleged abuse as horrific and committed to overseeing the child's rehabilitation and recovery. Mrs.

Soludo disclosed that she had spoken with the state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidik, to request the child's transfer to a suitable medical facility for specialized care.

She expressed deep sadness over the abuse and called for the prosecution of those responsible, including the child's guardians. The Anambra State administration maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse against children and women.
