South-East Labour Party Women Back Otti and Usman Leadership

On March 28, during an online meeting, women leaders of the Labour Party in South-East Nigeria passed a confidence vote in Governor Alex Otti and Senator Esther Nenadi Usman, who leads the interim national working committee. The communiqué issued by the national organizing secretary, Chinelo Ofoch, highlighted the exemplary leadership and dedication of Otti and Usman towards the growth and stability of the party.

The women pledged to deepen unity and strengthen grassroots mobilization to ensure the party remains a credible political platform in the region. They called for the inclusion of women in political leadership decisions to achieve equity and justice, which are critical for sustained progress within the party and the broader democratic space.
