Labour Party Chair Advocates for Women's Political Rights

On Friday, in Abuja, Senator Nenadi Usman, the national chair of the Labour Party (LP), pledged to promote equal opportunities for women within the party during her administration. This commitment was made during a courtesy visit from the Kaduna State chapter of the Leadership Nigeria League, represented by spokesperson Dr. Rekiya Shonekan.

Senator Usman praised the group's unwavering dedication to advancing women's political rights in Nigeria and encouraged them to persist in their advocacy efforts, particularly regarding a bill seeking special seats for women in parliament. She emphasized the importance of remaining steadfast in the face of intimidation and challenging operational environments, stressing the need for continued efforts to achieve gender inclusivity in Nigeria's political landscape.
