ADC South-West Leadership Defends National Secretary

The South-West zonal leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), under the guidance of National Vice Chairman Akinbowale Omole, has dismissed calls for the removal of the party's National Secretary. This clarification followed a meeting with national and zonal officers, where they labeled the accusers as “disgruntled elements” aligned with former minister Kachikwu Ibe and federal lawmaker Leke Abejide, who recently lost a legal case at the Court of Appeal.

Omole stated that the allegations against the National Secretary were baseless and emphasized that the National Executive Committee (NEC) is responsible for approving the candidates' list submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He pointed out that the accusers had previously disregarded party directives and attempted to destabilize the party, which the National Secretary successfully resisted.

The ADC leadership reaffirmed their commitment to party unity and integrity.
