South-West Leaders Advocate State Police and Death Penalty for Kidnappers

South-West leaders, including Gani Adams and Prof. Kolawole Raheem, endorsed the establishment of state police and the death penalty for kidnappers at a security summit in Lagos.

The summit aimed to unite against insecurity in Yorubaland, describing kidnapping as a hydra-headed monster. The leaders also called for foreign assistance in combating terrorism while emphasizing the need for collaboration between security agencies, governors, traditional rulers, and youth to enhance intelligence gathering and security measures in the region.
