Sowore To Lead Protest Today Over Withheld NYSC Certificate Of Raye

Today, activist Omoyele Sowore is set to lead a protest over the withheld NYSC certificate of Raye March Uguamaye. Uguamaye's criticism of the Federal Government's economic policies and President Bola Tinubu went viral, sparking mixed reactions.

Despite apologizing for his remarks, Uguamaye alleged that the NYSC withheld his discharge certificate, citing missed April clearance. The NYSC, however, stated that Uguamaye failed to attend the required biometric clearance in April 2025, leading to penalties.

Sowore, on Arise Television's Prime Time program, called on Nigerians to support Uguamaye, accusing the NYSC of targeting political views. He challenged the NYSC's claims, demanding evidence of Uguamaye's alleged failure to complete mandatory clearances.
