Usman-led LP Tasks Tinubu On Non-release Of Corps Corps Member’s Service Certificate

Labour Party Senator Nenadi Usman has called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the case of Ushie Rita Uguamaye, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member whose service certificate has not been released. Uguamaye had criticized the poor monthly allowance given to corps members, prompting the opposition party to demand the certificate be issued.

Usman's special adviser, Ken Asogwa, accused the NYSC of withholding the certificate as a vengeful act emblematic of the Tinubu-led administration. Uguamaye's videos highlighting the poor state welfare of corps members in Lagos State went viral, leading to threats from NYSC officials.

The Labour Party urged Tinubu to demonstrate tolerance and ensure Uguamaye receives her certificate, emphasizing the importance of freedom of expression in a democracy.
