Peter Obi Warns Against Sowore's Remand Threatening Democracy

Peter Obi, a prominent figure in the Nigerian Democratic Congress and former governor of Anambra State, criticized the remand of activist Omoyele Sowore, stating it poses a significant threat to democracy in Nigeria. Following a ruling by the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday, presided over by Justice Mohammed Umar, Sowore was remanded pending the determination of an application seeking to stay the execution of an earlier order that revoked his bail.
