Speaker Abbas Advocates for Parliamentary Diplomacy with Cuba

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has called for the establishment of parliamentary diplomacy to enhance cooperation between Nigeria and Cuba.

During a meeting in Abuja with a Cuban delegation led by Hon. Fernando González Llort, Tajudeen emphasized the importance of medical exchanges, academic recognition, joint research, and targeted investments between the two countries.

He praised the existing diplomatic ties but stressed the need to deepen bilateral relations through parliamentary health diplomacy, trade, culture, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical collaborations. Tajudeen highlighted the significance of implementing these strategies to foster a robust parliamentary partnership and advance Nigeria's foreign policy guided by principles of African solidarity and cooperation.
