Ilenikhena Shines with Two Goals in Al-Ittihad Victory

Nigerian forward George Ilenikhena scored two goals, leading Al-Ittihad to a 2-1 victory over Al-Nassr at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah on Saturday. Ilenikhena, a former Monaco player, opened the scoring by heading in a deflected shot from goalkeeper Nawaf Al Aqidi.

He then doubled the lead with a precise shot into the bottom corner, assisted by teammate Houssem Aouar. His outstanding performance earned him the Man of the Match award.

In a post-match interview, Ilenikhena expressed gratitude to Al-Ittihad supporters for their unwavering encouragement and pledged to continue delivering strong performances. He has made a notable start to the 2026/2027 season, scoring five goals in six appearances since joining Al-Ittihad during the winter transfer window as a successor to Karim Benzema.
