Stakeholders Celebrate Shehu Dikko on His Birthday

On the occasion of his birthday, sports stakeholders celebrated Shehu Dikko, the Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), recognizing his transformative leadership in Nigerian sports. Various presidents of major sports federations, including Engin Bright Idahosa of the Nigeria Scrabble Federation and Tonobok Okowa of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, commended Dikko for his unwavering commitment to athlete welfare and the introduction of policies aimed at repositioning Nigerian sports.

They highlighted his collaborative approach, which has united stakeholders around a common vision and fostered an environment conducive to athlete development. Akuchukwu Aghazu, the second vice president of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, referred to Dikko as a bridge builder, while Bukola Olopad, the chairman of the local organizing committee for the 2026 National Sports Festival, praised him as a co-pilot in the ongoing reforms within the NSC.

Stakeholders expressed their appreciation for Dikko's efforts to improve working conditions for athletes and restore confidence in the sports community.
