Stakeholder Praises IGP Disu for Police Reforms

Alhaji Akeem Osuolal, a prominent businessman and security stakeholder, praised the reform efforts of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Disu, describing them as a strong signal for renewed leadership within the Nigeria Police Force. Osuolal emphasized the IGP's focus on officer welfare and his prompt response to security challenges, which he believes demonstrates a commitment to discipline and fair promotions across the force.

He noted that the new IGP has shown readiness to tackle his responsibilities effectively, similar to the early tenure of former IGP Tafa Balogun, who initiated significant reforms. Osuolal expressed satisfaction with the IGP's recent response to security incidents in Maiduguri, calling it a moral booster for the police command.

He also commended the allocation of two billion naira for the families of officers who died in active service, stating that this step will encourage current personnel.
