Stakeholders in Abia State support the government's changes in private schools, including abolishing graduation ceremonies for nursery, primary, and secondary students. The move aims to ease financial burdens on parents by eliminating compulsory textbook combinations.

Commissioner of Information, Okey Kanu, announced the decision after a recent education stakeholder meeting. The new policy limits graduation ceremonies to Primary 6 and Senior Secondary 3 students to reduce costs for parents.

Stakeholders, including James Agwu, Uka Elendu, and Joyce Okoro, expressed agreement with the government's decision to alleviate financial pressures on families in the state.
