Stanley Nwabali, aged 28, has confirmed his free agent status after departing South African club Chippa United. Nwabali revealed that he has not signed with any team yet, emphasizing that his decision to leave was based on personal career progression rather than pressure from the club.

Despite losing his starting role to Dumisani Msibi at Chippa United, Nwabali kept four clean sheets in four league matches before the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The Nigerian goalkeeper clarified that a change in the goalkeeping hierarchy was not the reason for his departure, highlighting his positive relationship with the club's leadership during his four-year spell.
