STEM Africa Fest 2026 to Boost STEM Education in Nigeria

The sixth edition of STEM Africa Fest is scheduled to return, focusing on innovation and STEM education in Nigeria. The 2026 event will feature a multi-city rollout, including Ilorin, to expand the festival's reach beyond Lagos.

The theme for this year is "Build the Future," reflecting the festival's mission to create immersive learning environments for children to explore and apply STEM concepts in real-world contexts. The festival aims to nurture curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills among children, addressing the persistent shortage of skilled STEM professionals in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The 2026 festival will include interactive STEM labs, robotics showcases, coding and game development challenges, AI and machine learning workshops, engineering innovation labs, drone technology sessions, and science-based experiential programs. Additionally, there will be career-focused sessions designed to expose participants to pathways in the global technology innovation sector.
