Fubara Reaffirms APC Loyalty Amid Healthcare Improvements

On Wednesday, Governor Fubara of Rivers State reaffirmed his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) while inspecting the reconstruction of the psychiatric hospital and the remodeling of a general hospital in Rumuigbo, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area. He dismissed circulating reports on social media suggesting he would leave the APC, stating his commitment to the party and its overall interests.

Fubara explained that the decision to remodel the psychiatric hospital and general hospital followed his administration's discovery of inadequate healthcare services in the area during an earlier inspection. He noted that the nearest major medical facility available to residents is the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, which is far from the community.

Consequently, the governor deemed it necessary to establish a general hospital within the facility to cater to residents of Rumuigbo and neighboring communities. Fubara expressed satisfaction with the completion of the project, describing it as fulfilling his administration's promise to prioritize projects that directly impact the lives of the people in Rivers State.
