Celebrating Olusegun Ayo Omosehin's 59th Birthday

Tola Ogunnubi commemorates the 59th birthday of Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, the distinguished Commissioner for Insurance and Chief Executive Officer of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM). Ogunnubi recounts their first encounter on a rainy September evening in 2004 when he approached Omosehin, then MD/CEO of Admiral Insurance Company Limited, to discuss underwriting a policy.

Omosehin offered Ogunnubi a job instead, leading to his employment starting on 4th October 2004. Omosehin's career in insurance began in June 1993 at Crusader Insurance Plc.

He hails from Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State and holds a Second Class Upper degree in Political Science from Ondo State University (now Ekiti State University) and a Master of International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos. He also obtained an M.Sc. in Economics from the same institution and furthered his education at Lagos Business School and the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
