Stratos Trading Redeems N5bn Commercial Paper Successfully

Stratos Trading Limited has redeemed its Series 1 Commercial Paper issuance under its N20bn Commercial Paper Programme, totaling N5bn. This redemption follows the company's first public capital markets transaction, which was issued in two tranches of 180 and 270 days, attracting a subscription rate of 115 percent.

The Chief Executive Officer, Francisco Lakanu, stated that this successful redemption underscores the strength of their business model and investor confidence in their strategy. Olubusayo Adeniyi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Cedrus Group, emphasized that the redemption reflects the discipline expected of quality issuers and reinforces investor confidence in Stratos' fundamentals.

Dele Akinjo, Executive Director of Cedrus Group, noted the importance of strong preparation and effective execution in achieving this milestone. Stratos Trading has expanded its operations into petroleum product trading, with revenues increasing from N2.1bn in 2020 to N22.7bn in its 2024 audited accounts.
