JOHESU Members Enforce Strike Compliance at FMC Umuahia Amid Salary Structure Demand

The Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU) members, led by Chibuez Oparaocha and Solomon Offor, stormed the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Umuahia, Abia State, to ensure compliance with the ongoing strike. The strike, which began on November 15, 2025, demands the implementation of the Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS) adjustment.

The union members displayed placards with various inscriptions advocating for their rights. Commi Okonkwo, the chairperson of MHWUN at FMC Umuahia, expressed satisfaction with the level of compliance but emphasized the need for the government to address their demands promptly.
