Tinubu Commits to Strengthening Nigeria's Democratic Institutions

On a significant occasion, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reaffirmed his administration's commitment to strengthening Nigeria's democratic institutions. This statement was made during the commissioning of the new Body of Benchers office annex in Abuja.

Tinubu highlighted the necessity of modern infrastructure for the judiciary and legal profession, stating that these elements are essential to deepen the rule of law and sustain democracy. He described the project as a symbol of the Federal Government's resolve to build resilient institutions capable of advancing justice and national development.

The President emphasized that democracy cannot thrive in a vacuum and requires strong, resilient, and adequately equipped institutions. He noted that the Body of Benchers oversees the admission of legal practitioners and enforces professional discipline in the country.

Additionally, Tinubu announced the approval for the construction of two 300-capacity hostels for the Nigerian Law School in Bwari to improve student welfare, alongside the completion of access roads linking the Body of Benchers secretariat.
