FAAC Allocations Rise to N2.257 Trillion in April 2026

The Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) announced that allocations for April 2026 reached N2.257 trillion, marking an increase of N217 billion from the previous month's disbursement of N2.04 trillion. This rise is attributed to stronger inflows from corporate income tax (CIT), import duties, value-added tax (VAT), and oil and gas royalties, despite a significant decline in petroleum profit tax and hydrocarbon tax.

The total gross revenue for April was reported at N3.184 trillion, with N113.756 billion deducted for cost collection. The distribution for the month included N1.260 trillion in statutory revenue, N747.088 billion in VAT revenue, and N250 billion in augmentations.

The allocations were shared among the federal, state, and local governments, with states receiving N772.360 billion, local governments receiving N540.152 billion, and oil-producing states sharing N157.254 billion in derivation revenue.
