Uzodinma Urges Wike to Align with APC for Unity

Sen. Hope Uzodinma, the governor of Imo State and chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, called on Barrister Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, to submit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) rather than establishing a "parallel cross party structure" with his "Rainbow Coalition." Uzodinma described Wike's coalition as a "Trojan horse" intended to destabilize the APC from within. He asserted that true loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot coexist with such conflicting political maneuvers.

Uzodinma emphasized that the APC is a disciplined party governed by rules and structures, not a personal estate for political mercenaries. He urged Wike to prioritize party loyalty over personal ambitions, warning that attempts to create divisions within the party represent a direct threat to the stability of the ruling party.

The governors stressed that genuine electoral success is achieved through grassroots connections and integrity, not through media statements.
