Suicide Blast in Pakistan Kills Nine, Injures 34

On Tuesday, a suicide bomber using a three-wheeled vehicle laden with explosives detonated at a police checkpoint in northwest Pakistan, resulting in the deaths of at least nine individuals and injuring 34 others. Senior police official Muhammad Sajjad Khan reported the incident, which occurred as the bomber approached two traffic police officers stationed at the checkpoint.

This attack is part of a series of violent incidents, including a recent car bomb explosion in Bannu that killed at least 15 people. In response to the escalating violence, Pakistan's foreign ministry summoned a top Afghan diplomat, accusing Afghanistan of being a safe haven for militants.

The Taliban government in Afghanistan has repeatedly denied these allegations, which have strained relations between the two neighboring countries amid a rising tide of armed conflict, including Pakistani airstrikes in Afghan cities.
