Sunday Oliseh Accuses NFF of Withholding $1 Million FIFA Bonus

Former Super Eagles captain and coach Sunday Oliseh has accused the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) of withholding a $1 million payment from FIFA that was meant to reward the national team for qualifying for the 2002 World Cup. Oliseh claimed there was a clear agreement to divide the money equally between the federation and players, but the NFF failed to honor the arrangement.

He alleged that the NFF disbanded the team shortly after the tournament in Japan and South Korea, depriving the players of their share. Oliseh has been vocal about issues of mismanagement and lack of transparency in Nigerian football.
