Wilfred Ndidi Prepares to Face Adam Wharton in Europa League

Wilfred Ndidi, the captain of Besiktas, addressed the media at a pre-match press conference regarding their upcoming Europa League clash against Crystal Palace. He specifically mentioned Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton, identifying key traits in Wharton's game that Besiktas plans to exploit.

The match is scheduled for Thursday in Turkey, and Ndidi's comments indicate that Besiktas is developing a strategy to neutralize Wharton's influence in the midfield. Ndidi noted that both players operate in similar holding midfield roles, making their duel particularly significant.

He has faced Wharton previously during his time at Leicester City, where they met twice; Leicester won the first match 4-1 in the 2023-24 season, while the second match ended in a 1-1 draw. Besiktas enters this match after winning their first two Europa League matches against Marseille and Hoffenheim, and a third victory would greatly enhance their standing in the competition.
