Obasogie Cleared of Match-Fixing Allegations in Tanzania

Obasogie, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, has been cleared of match-fixing allegations after an investigation found no evidence linking him to any wrongdoing. The inquiry was initiated following his three-month suspension by Singida Black Star SC due to concerns over his performance during a CAF Confederation Cup match against Flambeau du Centra.

The investigation revealed that the issues were related to technical errors within the game rather than any illicit activities. Obasogie, who is 26 years old, joined Singida Black Star last year after leaving the Ethiopian club Fasil Kenema.

He is now set to resume his duties with the team under the management of Othmen Najjar.
