Super Falcons Begin Camp in Yaoundé for WAFCON 2026

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have officially opened their training camp in Yaoundé, Cameroon, as they gear up for a high-profile international friendly match against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon. The camp commenced on Tuesday, with head coach Justin Madugu and his backroom staff arriving on Wednesday.

A total of 11 players, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade, forward Gift Demehin, and midfielder Christi Ucheibe, are already present in the camp. The squad is expected to grow as additional players, including Ngozi Okobi and Fatima Oloko, are anticipated to join from abroad.

Madugu traveled to Abuja alongside two home-based players, Fatima Oloko and Anderlin Mgbechi, to finalize preparations. The first training session is scheduled for later tonight, with tactical fine-tuning ahead of the match on Saturday.

This friendly serves as a valuable opportunity for Nigeria to assess their tactics before the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
