Super Falcons Coach Justin Madugu Names 25 Players for Cameroon

Justin Madugu, the head coach of the Nigeria Women’s National Football Team, has unveiled a 25-player squad in preparation for a friendly match against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses, scheduled for February 28, with a second encounter on March 3. The squad is led by captain Rasheedat Ajibade and includes first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozi, alongside forward Esther Okoronkwo and England-based goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor, who receives her first invitation to the national team.

Other notable inclusions are Canada-based midfielder Ngozi Okobi Okeoghen and returning forward Gift Mondai, who missed the last Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Regular players retained in the squad include defenders Osinachi Ohal, Michel Alozi, and Oluwatosin Demehin, as well as midfielders Halimatu Ayind and Christi Ucheib.

This friendly serves as part of the team’s preparation for the 13th edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, where the four semi-finalists will qualify automatically for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
