Super Falcons Prepare for Intense Match Against Senegal

The Super Falcons, Nigeria's women's national football team, are set to employ an intense strategy in their second international friendly match against Senegal’s Lionesses. Head coach Justin Madugu is preparing the team for this encounter, which will take place at the Remo Star Sport Complex.

The match is significant as it leads up to the Women Africa Cup of Nations scheduled from July 25 to August 16 in Morocco. The Super Falcons, who have won the tournament ten times, are looking to extend their record to an 11th title.

In their previous encounter, the Falcons secured a 2-1 victory over the Lionesses, with Asisat Oshoala and Toni Payn contributing to the win. The Falcons previously faced Senegal in a qualifying fixture, ending in a 1-1 draw, before winning the return leg 2-0.

The upcoming tournament will also serve as a qualifier for the next FIFA Women’s World Cup, with the top four teams qualifying directly.
