Super Falcons Prepare for Senegal in Friendly Match

The Super Falcons are targeting a significant win against Senegal in their upcoming friendly match, following a recent 2-1 victory over the same team. Head coach Justin Madugu, who has led the team to ten African championships, expressed confidence in their preparation.

The match will take place at the Remo Star Sport Complex. The Super Falcons are gearing up for the Women Africa Cup of Nations, which begins next month in Morocco.

Asisat Oshoala scored a goal in the previous match, while Toni Payn contributed to the victory with another goal just four minutes before the end of regular time. Historically, the Super Falcons defeated Senegal 3-1 on aggregate in a previous qualification fixture, with the first leg ending in a 1-1 draw.

The upcoming tournament will serve as a qualifier for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup, with the top four teams qualifying directly and the fifth-place team entering an intercontinental playoff.
