Super Falcons to Face Ghana in Friendly Match Ahead of AFCON

The Super Falcons, Nigeria's women's national football team, are set to play a friendly match against Ghana's Black Queens on Saturday, July 10, in Casablanca, Morocco. This match is part of their preparations for the 14th Women Africa Cup of Nations, which will commence on July 28, 2023.

The Super Falcons, who are the defending champions and have won the tournament 10 times, will open their campaign in Group C against Malawi on July 28 at lunchtime. Head coach Justin Madugu is leading the team, which has seen the arrival of 10 players at their hotel in Casablanca.

Notable players include captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozi, and forward Asisat Oshoala. The team will also face Zambia on August 1 and Egypt on August 5.

The tournament will determine four semi-finalists, with the final scheduled to take place in Morocco. The top teams will earn automatic slots for the next FIFA Women’s World Cup.
