Fayose: Supporting Tinubu Not Anti-Party for PDP Members

Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, expressed his support for Bola Tinubu, asserting that such support does not equate to anti-party activity, even though he is a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Fayose made these remarks during the PDP national convention held in Abuja, emphasizing that national interest should take precedence over party loyalty.

He noted that political differences are a normal aspect of democracy, citing examples from international politics, such as former President Barack Obama, who did not support Donald Trump, and how no democracy can avoid differing opinions on national issues. Fayose further argued that support should be based on competence rather than party affiliation, stating that a party member should win when they possess the necessary capacity, regardless of their party membership.
