Hayatu-Deen Calls for Unity After Supreme Court Ruling

Moham Hayatu-Deen, the former chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and a presidential aspirant, responded to a recent Supreme Court ruling that affirmed the leadership of Senate President David Mark. In a statement issued through his media office, Hayatu-Deen highlighted the significance of the ruling in reinforcing the rule of law and due process within Nigeria's democratic system.

He noted the importance of strong institutions and credible internal party processes, warning against any attempts to distort these processes, which could undermine the legitimacy of the democratic system. Hayatu-Deen welcomed the stability brought by the Supreme Court's decision and stressed the need for political parties, particularly the African Democratic Congress (ADC), to shift focus from legal battles to addressing pressing socio-economic challenges, including rising living costs and insecurity.

He congratulated David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola on their leadership roles and called for unity among party members to prioritize results-driven governance that improves the welfare of Nigerians.
