SWAN President Visits Family of Late Ibrahim Galadima

Isaiah Benjamin, the President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), led a delegation to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima in Kano. Benjamin described Galadima as a father figure and a pillar of Nigeria's sports sector, whose death has created a significant vacuum that will be difficult to fill.

He acknowledged Galadima's immense contributions to the growth of sports in Nigeria and his fatherly role in guiding and supporting sports journalists. Abba Galadima, the deceased's brother, expressed gratitude for the SWAN delegation's visit, stating it provided comfort during their time of grief.

He noted that the loss is not only felt by the family but also by the entire sports community in Nigeria. The visit underscored Galadima's lasting influence and legacy within the sports sector.

Additionally, SWAN's assistant secretary, Muzambil, offered condolences for the loss of Galadima's wife during childbirth.
