Tributes Pour in for Sports Icon Ibrahim Galadima

Ibrahim Galadima, a distinguished sports administrator, was laid to rest in Kano on a Saturday, having passed away at the age of 74. President Bola Tinubu expressed his condolences, noting Galadima's impactful contributions to the development of Nigerian football at both grassroots and elite levels.

Galadima held various significant positions, including serving as the chairman of the Kano State Sports Council and as president of the defunct Nigeria Football Association (NFA) from 2002 to 2006. His dedication to sports administration was recognized by Mallam Shehu Dikko, chairman of the National Sports Commission, who described Galadima as a mentor and a selfless patriot.

Ibrahim Musa Gusau, president of the Nigeria Football Federation, also paid tribute, emphasizing Galadima's dignified leadership and wisdom. His funeral was attended by numerous dignitaries, including former Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau.

Galadima was born on June 14, 1951, and had a long career in sports administration, contributing significantly to various committees and initiatives.
