SWDC to Enhance Small Business Support Through Cooperative Societies

The South West Development Commission (SWDC) is set to boost small businesses and community resilience by revitalizing cooperative societies in the region. At the 8th Annual General Meeting in Ibadan, SWDC Chairman, Olubunmi Adetunmbi, outlined strategies to deepen financial inclusion and assist small and medium-scale enterprises.

The event, held at the International Conference Center, University of Ibadan, focused on promoting inclusive and sustainable development. Key figures like Sammi Lapad Ladokun of Odua Cooperative Conglomerate Ltd and Olufemi Adesop of Bodija Unique Cooperative Investment Credit Society Ltd emphasized the importance of collaboration and empowerment to strengthen financial positions.

The cooperative movement aims to benefit over ten million cooperative owners in states like Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti.
