Southwest APC Backs Oyebanji, Oyebamiji for Elections

The Southwest APC, during a meeting on Wednesday, expressed confidence in the re-election of Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji and the candidacy of Bola Oyebamiji for the Osun governorship. Isaac Kekemek, the newly elected Southwest zonal chairman, highlighted Oyebanji's performance and the need for unity within the party to secure overwhelming votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

The party aims to unlock growth opportunities and address immediate challenges in the region. Kekemek assured that the APC would consult better leadership and focus on economic development and national cohesion.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was elected to the new executive, emphasized the importance of free and credible elections in line with the 2026 Electoral Act. The APC's strategy includes strengthening its dominance in the Southwest through a forward-looking approach and unity among party members.
