APC South West Re-elects Kekemeke, Targets 2027 Victory

On Wednesday, the South West chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) re-elected Isaac Kekemeke as the zonal vice chairman during a congress held at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Onikan, Lagos. A total of 3,188 delegates from six South West states participated in the congress, which was conducted under a consensus arrangement and ratified by a voice vote.

The congress committee, chaired by Jide Jimoh, adopted a consensus line in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Act. Other key officials elected included Femi Aluko as secretary and Lateef Ibirogba as organizing secretary.

The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. Sanwo-Olu described the congress as peaceful and reflective of the party's unity in the region, pledging to deliver a landslide victory for Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Kekemeke expressed confidence in the party's strength across the region.
