Trailer Overturns in Gombe, Trapping Cattle and Causing Traffic

A trailer heavily laden with cattle overturned at Dukku Junction in Gombe metropolis, leading to a major traffic gridlock. The accident occurred while the truck was negotiating the junction, resulting in some cattle being trapped beneath the vehicle while others managed to escape.

Witnesses reported that residents and passersby rushed to the scene to rescue the trapped animals and help control the traffic situation. One witness stated that the trailer was carrying cattle when it overturned, causing immediate disruption to vehicular movement.

Motorists were forced to seek alternative routes due to the obstruction caused by the overturned trailer. Another witness noted that traffic became very heavy right after the accident, with vehicles struggling to move because the truck blocked part of the road.
