Switzerland Offers to Host US-Iran Peace Deal Signing

Switzerland has proposed to host the signing of a peace agreement between the United States and Iran, as confirmed by the Swiss Foreign Ministry. The ministry indicated that Switzerland is fully engaged and in close contact with both the U.S. and Iranian officials.

A senior official from President Donald Trump's administration conveyed that the United States is 80-85% confident in finalizing the accord aimed at ending the conflict with Tehran. The Swiss Foreign Ministry emphasized its active role in supporting efforts toward a memorandum of understanding intended to consolidate a truce and de-escalate tensions between Iran and the U.S.

Additionally, the ministry suggested that Switzerland could serve as a venue for the signing of the agreement, with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif acting as a mediator in the efforts to end the war.
