Oduyemi Urges Tinubu to Tackle Insecurity Decisively

Nathaniel Oduyemi, a senatorial aspirant for Osun Central representing the Nigeria Democratic Congress, expressed grave concerns regarding the increasing wave of kidnappings targeting schoolchildren and teachers across Nigeria. In a statement issued on Monday, Oduyemi highlighted the alarming frequency and audacity of recent abductions, which he described as a significant threat to the nation's future.

He criticized the current administration's response to insecurity, noting a troubling lack of urgency in addressing these incidents. Oduyemi referenced the recent abduction of schoolchildren in Ogbomosho, which he stated was met with silence from the federal government.

He called for stronger collaboration among stakeholders to tackle insecurity and urged parents to remain vigilant in safeguarding their children. Oduyemi appealed directly to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to take decisive action to confront the growing insecurity and to explore broader partnerships to address the crisis effectively.
