Prof. Samuel Oladipo Appointed New VC of Tai Solarin University

The Tai Solarin University of Education has announced the appointment of Prof. Samuel Ekundayo Oladipo as its new Vice Chancellor, effective May 5, 2026.

This decision was made during a meeting of the university's governing council, chaired by Prof. Rahamon Bello.

Prof. Oladipo, who was born on June 29, 1969, in Oyo State, has a robust academic background, being a foundational faculty member since the institution's upgrade in 2005.

He attained the rank of professor in October 2014 and has held various significant roles, including chairman of the university's result vetting board and director of research. He has authored 70 peer-reviewed journal articles and several academic books.

His research interests include psycho-educational interventions for survivors of child sexual abuse in Nigeria. Prof.

Oladipo is also a member of multiple professional bodies, including the American Psychological Association. He is married to Mr.

Christianah Oladipo, and they have children together.
