Tambuwal’s Probe Political Persecution, Says ADC Deputy Youth Leader

ADC's Deputy National Youth Leader, Chinonso Obasi, has labeled the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's (EFCC) interrogation of former Sokoto State governor Aminu Tambuwal as political persecution. Obasi accused the EFCC of attempting to silence opposition voices in Nigeria, particularly targeting members of the ADC.

He emphasized the need for justice and criticized the use of state power to intimidate opposition ahead of the 2027 elections. Obasi highlighted Tambuwal's integrity and respect in Nigerian politics, condemning the EFCC's actions as an abuse of power.

He called for the peaceful rejection of the capture of institutions for partisan interests and demanded an end to the harassment of opposition leaders. Obasi warned that silencing dissent threatens Nigeria's democracy and urged the public to demand transparency and justice in all investigations involving political figures.
