Tambuwal's Defection Won't Weaken PDP in Sokoto, Says Gada

Abubakar Gada, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and former senator representing Sokoto East, assured that the recent defection of former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal to the African Democratic Congress will not weaken the PDP's structural integrity or electoral strength in Sokoto State. Gada made this statement on Thursday, urging loyal PDP members to remain calm, united, and committed to the party's ideals.

He emphasized that the PDP maintains a strong grassroots presence across the nation and has initiated measures to strengthen internal unity and consolidate its structure. Gada acknowledged the political dynamics that allow individuals to make personal choices but insisted that the PDP remains resilient and deeply rooted in the aspirations of Nigerians.

He called on party members to focus on unity and mobilize support to navigate political challenges and work towards the development of Sokoto State.
