Tambuwal’s EFCC Ordeal Began After He Refused Invitation To Join Tinubu’s Camp – Source

Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal's reported ordeal with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) allegedly began after he refused an invitation to join Bola Tinubu's camp, according to sources. The sources claimed that the EFCC's interest in Tambuwal started four months ago when an individual in the government approached him.

Despite nothing being heard for three weeks, Tambuwal eventually received a letter from the EFCC requesting details. After honoring the invitation and meeting bail conditions, Tambuwal was allegedly kept in custody overnight.

Similar tactics were reportedly used six months earlier on former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha, who was also approached to join Tinubu's camp and subsequently received an EFCC invitation.
