FG Commits to Taraba Development Master Plan at 35th Anniversary

On Thursday, during the 35th anniversary celebration of Taraba State in Jalingo, the Federal Government reaffirmed its commitment to collaborate with the Taraba State Government for development across various sectors including agriculture, energy, tourism, infrastructure, and mineral resources. Alhaji Mohammed Idris, the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, conveyed greetings from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and emphasized the significance of the newly unveiled Taraba Regional Development Master Plan as a blueprint for sustainable growth.

He commended Governor Agbu Kefas for adopting a long-term development framework and highlighted the necessity of sustained implementation for the Master Plan's success. Idris noted Taraba's potential in various sectors and praised the Kefas Administration's investments in education and infrastructure.

He mentioned a $268 million financing agreement with the ECOWAS Bank for an integrated industrial park and other projects. Additionally, he outlined federal infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing connectivity and economic growth in the state.
